Is OxyBreeth Safe?

Ozone gas can be harmful when inhaled at high concentrations, But OxyBreeth is designed differently: it generates low-concentration dissolved ozone in water for oral-care use, rather than delivering ozone gas for inhalation. Its operating parameters are carefully designed with reference to published research on ozone concentration, exposure, and oral-care applications.

Conclusion
Ozonated water may help reduce dental plaque in the short term, but the available evidence is not yet sufficient to establish superiority over standard mouthrinses or plain water.

Conclusion
In this randomized controlled in vivo study, ozonized water used twice daily for four weeks was associated with significant reductions in plaque and gingival indices compared with the control group.

Conclusion
This randomized controlled trial found that ozonated water improved certain oral-health measures over the study period and concluded that it could be considered as an alternative to conventional chemical mouthrinses for maintaining oral health.

Conclusion
In vitro experiments showed that ozone ultrafine bubble water reduced multiple oral and upper-airway pathogens by more than 99% under specific exposure conditions. The study also found no significant cytotoxicity toward the tested human gingival epithelial cell line.

Conclusion
Ozone nano-bubble water rapidly reduced the viable counts of representative periodontopathic bacteria in vitro. Tests using three-dimensional human oral tissue models showed only minor reductions in cell viability after 24 hours of exposure.

This review summarizes laboratory and clinical research on ozone in periodontal care and describes its potential antimicrobial applications in dentistry. It also highlights the need for further clinical research to establish its effectiveness and appropriate applications.
