Is OxyBreeth Safe?
Ozone gas can be harmful when inhaled at high concentrations, But Oxybreeth is designed differently: it generates low-concentration dissolved ozone in water for oral-care use, rather than delivering ozone gas for inhalation. Its operating parameters are carefully designed with reference to published research on ozone concentration, exposure, and oral-care applications.

The research behind everyday care.

Published studies have explored ozonated water’s antibacterial properties and potential applications in oral and skin care. Research continues to investigate its effectiveness and safety across different uses.
01| 2026 — Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis

Conclusion
Ozonated water may help reduce dental plaque in the short term, but the available evidence is not yet sufficient to establish superiority over standard mouthrinses or plain water.

Conclusion
In this randomized controlled in vivo study, ozonized water used twice daily for four weeks was associated with significant reductions in plaque and gingival indices compared with the control group.

Conclusion

In vitro experiments showed that ozone ultrafine bubble water reduced multiple oral and upper-airway pathogens by more than 99% under specific exposure conditions. The study also found no significant cytotoxicity toward the tested human gingival epithelial cell line.

Conclusion

This systematic review of nine studies found no significant dermatological risks associated with the evaluated ozonated liquids. However, larger and longer-term clinical studies are needed to further establish their safety.

International Immunopharmacology. 2023;124(Pt A):110920. doi:10.1016/j.intimp.2023.110920.

Conclusion

Laboratory experiments demonstrated antibacterial activity against staphylococcal bacteria. The study also observed anti-inflammatory effects in experimental skin models, suggesting potential dermatological applications that require further clinical investigation.

Conclusion

This randomized human study found improvements in atopic dermatitis severity and skin microbial diversity following topical ozone treatment combining ozonated water and ozonated oil. The individual effects of ozonated water could not be determined separately.applications.
